PROPOSED MANDATORY SCHOOL KEEP CLEAR MARKINGS
STATEMENT OF REASONS
Leicestershire County Council are proposing to formalise the school keep clear markings on the roads listed below by making them mandatory the restriction will apply Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm on part of Holmfield Avenue West, Leicester Forest East. A no waiting at any time restriction is also proposed at the junction of Holmfield Avenue West and Wardens Walk, Leicester Forest East
The school keep clear road marking is intended to highlight the key areas that should be kept clear for the safety of school children and if implemented the proposed marking will be enforced by a camera car.
THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL(VARIOUS ROADS, DISTRICT OF BLABY) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2017(HOLMFIELD AVENUE WEST AND WARDENS WALK LEICESTER FOREST EAST) (AMENDMENT 9) ORDER 201
LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL hereby gives notice that it proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be:
1 To impose a mandatory school keep clear Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm on part of Holmfield Avenue West, Leicester Forest East.
2 To impose a no waiting at any time restriction at the junction of Holmfield Avenue West and Wardens Walk, Leicester Forest East.
A copy of the proposed Order, together with plan illustrating the proposals and an explanatory statement giving the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may beinspected during normal office hours at my offices, Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield,Leicester LE3 8RA at the offices of Blaby District Council, Desford Road, Leicester LE19 2EP, and at the offices of Leicester Forest East Parish Council, The Parish Hall, Kings Drive, Leicester Forest East, LE3 3JE.

Objections to the proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by not later than 12th October 2018, quoting reference
