LFE Film Evenings will be showing on Thursday 1 November "Darkest Hour"

During the early days of World War II, with the fall of France imminent, Britain faces its darkest hour as the threat of invasion looms. As the seemingly unstoppable Nazi forces advance, and with the Allied army cornered on the beaches of Dunkirk, the fate of Western Europe hangs on the leadership of the newly-appointed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. While manoeuvring his political rivals, he must confront the ultimate choice: negotiate with Hitler and save the British people at a terrible cost or rally the nation and fight on against incredible odds.

Brilliance - Show

Brilliance - Show

1963, winter. Everyone gathers in the village hall. Daisy places her hand on the switch, presses it down, and life is never the same again. A warm, energetic and humorous musical- theatre show charting the life changing impact of electricity arriving in the village, illuminating every corner of local life. As evening descends into darkness, 240 volts of alternating current and the humble light bulb allows the village to find its voice and sing long into the night.

A real joy that lights up an audience.

Tickets - £10 per adult, Concession - £5 for those under 18 years of age.

Reserve your tickets by calling into the Parish Office, or telephone 0116 2390039 or email: clerk@lfeparishcouncil.org.uk
